    Foldees “Monochrome” Contest

I’ve put an illustration that I have done for a better purpose. Before, it was just a mere personal illustration but when Foldees announced its “Monochrome” Greeting Cards Contest, I quickly jumped and amended the illustration to fit the templates given by Foldees.

In Search of the Perfect Kiss

    rimmel london (malaysia)

Have you ever heard of Rimmel London before? This is the first time I heard of it and when I read about it in the magazine article, I think I wanna give it a try; I kinda like their lipstick color schemes. I’m not a heavy make-up user but I do wear lipstick, you know. ^_^

They are also having a contest: A PERFECT KISS and the prizes are cash, Pixart photo book and Rimmel London’s shopping vouchers! Weeee!!! Maybe I should wait after the the contest, see whether I win or not! If I won I can splurge myself with some other products too!!! I also wear eyeliner and powder and a bit of eye shadow, you know. ^_^

Lol! I almost forgot that I need a receipt in order to join the contest! Ok, ok am heading to Watson, or One Utama/Sunway Pyramid Parkson later today to buy Rimmel London and get that darn receipt!! Heck, maybe I just head over to Mid Valley, buy from their roadshow counter and MAKE MYSELF OVER!! Haha how’s that sounds! Sounds good? Wanna join me? Come la!! Below is the detailS:

    What: Rimmel London Roadshow
    When: 16th – 22nd March 2009
    Where:
Lower Ground North Concourse Area, Mid Valley

And hey, if you ever wanna join the contest too, don’t forget to submit your photo before 15th April 2009. You can read more about this contest at Rimmel London’s blog. It will be based on readers voters, so you know what it means; the most votes received will win the grand prize!

I wanted so much to enter this FOLDEES contest and have been cracking my head on how to come up with sci-fi birthday card as I’m not so much of a sci-fi person. Still cracking here.

At the meantime, if you’re interested to join this contest, you can still do so as the closing date is 22 March 2009. This contest opens to all wherever you are and the prizes are in USD$$$$!!!

    1st prize – US$ 1000
    2nd prize – US$ 600

    Enticing??

Ok, all you got to do is submit a sci-fi related birthday card to Foldees. Only flat vector art is allowed. This means no gradients, rasters or fancy effects like filters and drop shadows.

    Mariuca’s Teddy *

    Happy 2nd Blogaversary, Marzie!!

Marzie aka Mariuca commissioned me to decorate a teddy for her in conjunction with her 2nd Blogaversary. So I bought a Russ teddy and later sew up a tee, made run-stitches here and there, ironed on the I ♥ Mariuca on it and knit a muffler for the teddy. Voila! It’s Russ’ no more, it’s Mariuca’s!

Marzie is giving away this teddy and here are the rules in order to be eligible for entry to the Mariuca 2nd Blogversary Contest:

    1. Be a true Mariucan and Subscribe to Wishing On A Falling Star. Leave a comment once you’ve subscribed.
    2. The Mariuca Teddy Bear needs a name so get creative and come up with the coolest one you can think of.
    3. Post your entry at your blog, linking back to her post (and picture if you like) and tell Marzie why you’d love to bring the Mariuca Teddy Bear home.
    4. Leave a comment in her post with the link to your post once you’ve posted your entry.
      International entries are allowed.
    5. Contest runs from 3rd November – 3rd December 2008 (12 midnight Malaysia time).

The winning entry will be selected by Marzie, based on the BEST NAME and REASON for wanting to bring the Mariuca Teddy Bear home! 🙂

    * The first person to leave a comment on any post title that ends with a star will receive a link back to his or her blog for being my first commentator!

    Updates!

I decided to join in the contest!! Since I already am a true Mariucan, all I have to do is name the bear and tell Marzie why I want the bear.

    Ok, here go:

    Name:

    Wentworth

Why Wentworth? Wentworth seems like a good name for a bear and furthermore it’s worth it!

    Reason:

I really want Wentworth because it symbolizes a true friendship and unconditional love offers by his sweet master, Marzie. Like Marzie, Wentworth will never betray me, never tell my secrets to anyone else, never tell lies, never say bad things about me and most important thing Wentworth will always protect me from the one-eyed blue monster that hides in my closet and comfort me whenever I am down.

  • ABOUT ME

    My winning prize

I cannot post my Eid/Raya pictures as we left our camera in Tangkak and will only get it back on Monday via bro-in-law. Till then, i’m left with nothing to post except my meeting with Chak from Foldees a day before Eid. We were supposed to meet on Friday but Chak had to postpone it due to workloads. I gave direction to my house to Chak but it was very confusing and we finally met at De Palma hotel near Ampang Point. Chak is a very cheerful guy and it was a great pleasure to meet him. I am so happy to receive my Intuos Wacom tablet, RM2000 and two greeting cards that I’ve designed. Thank you Chak and Foldees!

Anyway, Foldees is having another contest and the theme is ‘A comic book Christmas’ greeting card. Please go to foldees.com (or click on picture below) for more information.

OK, I’m off to check out Illustration Friday’s challenge this week and also how to get rid of acne as it is making a comeback. Haven’t been watching what I ate lately!
