Never ending story and the setting up of EmilaEmila brand

Work is one never ending story. From the time I wake up till the time I close my eyes, I seem to be occupied with works. Be it house chores or illustrations or commission jobs. Sometimes I fell asleep in front of my laptop. I am struggling hard to be a super woman when all I need to be is a bionic woman. I need all the energy that I can get. But funny thing is, being busy does not help me getting thinner. LOL. When I got stressed out, I eat a lot to compensate the feeling. I eat more than my body needs.

Anyways, I am now working on few commission jobs; typesetting, blog and what not beside preparing a catalogue for my merchandising items and illustrations for the Frankfurt Book Fair. I hope to get at least an opportunity to get them licensed internationally. But even if I didn’t get any, I hope to be inspired by others during the book fair.

Working on my catalogue.

I am also in the middle of setting up a website for my EmilaEmila brand. EmilaEmila will be having items like canvas tote bags, postcards, notecards, some stationeries items and hopefully to add toys, clothing many more to the brand later. I am starting small as I don’t have the budget yet. I have set up a company, EYL & Associates, with a friend, Linda Tan, who was also the publisher of my “My Mother’s Garden’. She saw a potential to the characters I created and suggested that we venture in the merchandising items. I am all out with the idea and hope that EmilaEmila will be the talk of the town one day like Upin & Ipin.

Still, I need to lose weight.
