    Dollies Adventure – The Clique

The IF challenge this week is ‘Clique’, so I thought this illo is related.

Dmystify has suggested that I make weekly comic strips out of the dollies I made. Since I have two characters, Norah and Emot; which are on the verge of extinction, I thought I re-brand them in a dolly look. I think they look cuter this way. I have them scattered all around this blog, but here are links to some illos of them: Trick or Treat, Alphabets & Captain. There are more, you just have to dig deeper to find them hehe!

They will embark on an adventure together with their animal buddies – Pumpkin (cat) and Dixie (chick). So here’s the clique:

I will publish the first comic strip next week; though I have no clue what it will be about. No worries, I’ll come up with sumthin. Maybe I will try to create a story out of next IF challenges.

    Hybrid car

When it comes to car, I have zero knowledge about it. I know this much; the price of petrol has went up! To me, car is just a car but today I learned that there is different kind of car; a hybrid one. Came across about honda civic hybrid from thecarconnection.com. Thought I share the information with all of you.

If you planning to buy a hybrid car especially if you have Honda in mind, just check the website. There’s a list of green Honda cars ranging from civic hybrid, civic sedan and accord hybrid. Each one of them has great reviews and the most important thing is they help save the environment. Hybrid cars can reduce your carbon footprint and provide you with an economically and environmentally safer drive wherever you go.

Most of the honda hybrid cars in the website have been rated 8 and 9 by reviewers; with the latest model 2008 honda civic hybrid being rated 10 out of 10. There are full reviews, trim and specs, photo galleries and free price quotes to begin with. You can also search by year or model, by popularity and also look for cars under $25k or above. In addition there are also expert opinions and consumer opinions for you to read.

    Condolence

I received a call this morning from Abang Rahim saying that our friend, Sazli Morah Abas had passed away. I tried to call his wife, Ella, my 90’s bestest buddy, but to no avail. Left her a message, though. I understand in time like this, nobody would pick up their phone. I regretted that I could not make it to pay my last respect. I got to talk to him (thru P.Sri’s mobile) 2 years back and he promised that one day we would all meet up for old time sakes. I guess that is not going to happen. My most sincere and heartfelt condolence to his wife, Ella, his 3 children, as well as all of his immediate family and close friends.

May Allah shower His blessings upon his spirit…Al Fatihah…

    The Butterfly Effect

I’ve had bad headache around 5:00pm yesterday and with the thunderstorm and lightning hovering over the sky I switched off my computer and headed to the sofa for a rest. The headache went badly after break fasting and I laid down and fell asleep. Normally a quick nap helps, but I woke up around 11:00pm with a feeling that somebody had knocked me head with a hammer or something. My son was already fast asleep and my husband gave me Panadol Actifast pills to ease the pain in the head and gave me a movie DVD to watch – The Butterfly Effect. I wasn’t into watching movie at all but my husband said it’s the kind of movie that I like to watch; so I watched. Not bad. It’s about a boy, Evan, who had series of blackouts and cannot remember what had happened. His mother brought him to see a psychologist who encouraged him to keep a journal, detailing the events of his day-to-day life. While in college, Evan reads from one of his journals and finds himself thrust suddenly back in time. He comes to realize that the journals are a vehicle that can transport him to the past and reclaim his memories. He went back and tries to change his past only to mess the lives of his childhood friends, most crucially that of Kayleigh, his childhood sweetheart. The climax was where he changes the past that he never wrote any journal. In the end, he found a way to go back by watching a movie that his mother made during his birthday where he first met Kayleigh. He went back again and made Kayleigh hates him. They never became friends and Evan successfully spares all the terrifying experiences. The movie doesn’t really make sense, but I just love it. Worth the watch; my bad headache subsided at the end of the movie. The pills are not bad either.

Oh yeah, Ashton Kutcher was the teenage/adult Evan.

Ok, I’m off to check out some speakers. My husband is in need of a good speaker for his laptop; the mobile kind. Found and bookmarked a site with a wide range of good speakers in buy.com few days ago. Will be back here again tonight.
