Poinsettia
I actually did a sketch of this poinsettia while waiting for my lunch at the Splendid Cafe @ Carrefour Ampang months back. They have these fake poinsettias on every table as centerpiece decoration. I was kinda bored and when I saw it, I just took out my moleskine and pen and started to draw. The coloring was done separately during spare time.

I don’t see much of that flower. Is it a flower or more of red leaves? Anyways I only see it (and loads of it) during christmas. So whenever I see that plant I think of christmas. Christmas reminds me of cold. And I hate the cold during christmas. LOL amazing how the brain links one thing to another.

Poisenttias are beautiful!, in fact poisenttias are not flowers – they are leaves – that change to red once a year and are originary from Mexico. I think that it’s the typical plant for christmas time everywhere. What many people don’t know is that it’s a tree.
