AMBP-Genting Prize
I’ve collected my prize as Top AMBP 5 Bloggers from The Star last Friday at Sunway Pyramid. I am so excited to spend 3 days 2 nights at Awana Genting Higlands. Yassin is even more excited and kept asking when is the time. We probably be heading to the resort after Eid celebration.
I would like to thank the The Star Online and AllMalaysia.info, the dedicated team behind the AllMalaysian Bloggers Project (AMBP) for such great effort to bring the blogging community together by organising various projects both online and in the real world. (Special thanks to Michael Frederick for passing me the prize. Michael, I like your hair!)
BIG THANKS to friends, readers and voters who have voted for me! Love you all!

Great weekend
Mom’s Rangoon CreeperMy mom bought this Rangoon Creeper last year and planted it next to her picket fences with the hope that it will crawl all over the fences. Well, it did! Back then there were only few clusters of flowers, now there are probably hundreds of them! I was absolutely mesmerised! I became more amazed by the scent that this creeper produces! They have sweet, fruity and intoxicating scent! I practically went and smell all the flowers! Crazy me! The scent still lingers while I’m writing this!
It wasn’t me alone; a bee got intoxicated as well!Beside spending time with mom, I went to visit my brother.
My brother, Azrai and Yassin. Yassin helps clean his house!Later went for a break fasting session with my buddies at Madam Kwan’s, Bangsar. (Gosh, I forgot to bring my camera to capture this moment!) Elina came with Ryan her smallest son, Daliza and Helmy with Ali, Julia with her niece while Zamrood came alone. Hadi came too. Marzie can’t make it as she has other plans.
Anyway, Yassin had a great weekend too!

Throwback Thursday: my bundle of joy
Janice of This is a Miracle have initiated a theme for every Thursday called Throwback Thursday where she posts old photos of her sons in her blog. Her idea is so brilliant, so I have asked her whether if I could join her. She is so kind to let me and here is my first post for the theme.
Yassin at birth (in the labor room)
Photos were taken by my husband using his Sony Ericsson mobile phone
Two weeks old Yassin
Photos were taken using Fuji FinePix S5000
I’ve practically have compiled Yassin’s development from birth to 12 months
in a book. I’ve printed it out and binded it myself. I have photos of his ultrascan images, hands and foots prints, first doodlings, first shoes, first toy cars and many more.
This is Yassin’s very first book – My Kitty by LamazeThe experience of having a baby was indescribable. From the beginning Yassin was his own little person and I didn’t know him. What I didn’t realize then, but have come to understand now, as his mother I have unparalleled access to him and have a chance to get to know him better.
This is an incredible journey and I love being his mom Emila.

Momentum – Illustration Friday
MC Hammer | DigitalGiven the word momentum, the first thing that crossed my mind was ‘Gaining Momentum’, a song by MC Hammer. It was a hit back in the early 90’s. I’ve associated the word ‘momentum’ with Hammer not only because the word is the title of his song, it’s also because he dance fast! I couldn’t keep up with his momentum back then!
The above illustration was done using Adobe Illustrator, 2 hours work.
While searching for his whereabout, I found his blog: Look Look Look. Go check it out!
And oh, I did own a pair of those ‘Hammer’ pants! White color!
