Totes!
Completed 3 commissioned totes in 2 weeks. My left middle finger got poked many times over by the needle, I know I should’ve used the thimble but the one that I have is too small! Ought to get myself a larger one!
Commissioned by Daliza for her friend’s baby’s 1st birthday
Commissioned by Elina’s boss, based on my original ‘Sweet Dream’

I’m in Top 101!
Kim Barker from LakeTrees has done a research and has compiled the Top 101 Artists’ Blogs. I was surprised to see the incoming link and checked her blog. I was even more surprised when I found my name is on the top (based on my Technorati authority)! Wow! It’s such an honor to be up there! I know I won’t be at the top for long as her list includes many great artists, herself included. So for the time being, I’m enjoying the moment. Thank you Kim!
If you’re an artist/illustrator/painter/designer, have registered with Technorati and would like to be in the list, you can submit your blog to Kim.

Excess – Illustration Friday
teddy bears | acrylic on canvas
for sale – see Emila’s Original for price infoThis week’s theme at Illustration Friday is ‘Excess’, so I thought I illustrate a room which has an excessive amount of teddy bears! As a kid, I didn’t have many toys but kids today, especially my son, has excess toys. I’m getting really worried as according to a study, too many playthings can restrict development and may harm children. It is advised that parents avoid electronic toys and buy ones that need imaginative input from the child: Lego, bricks, farm animals, simple dolls and good books.
I am going to do just that.

Shower
“See dad, I’m not so afraid anymore”
– photo taken by my husbandMy son has always been afraid of the shower. He normally takes a bath in the tub or by using the hose. Yesterday, my husband and I took him to the swimming pool and for some reason, the shower was not nearly as scary to him. Maybe the fact that other kids do it with laughter and fun, made him want to try. Even though he was trying to stop the shower, we thought that it was a good start.
We hope he will take the shower at home today!
