Feather study
My son found this feather near his grandma’s reban ayam (chicken’s den) and gave it to me. The lines are very interesting to look at so I took out my sketchbook and draw.

Busy body
What makes a busy body ?
My own definition of busy body is when:
- the left hand is trying to help the right one to draw something on the laptop; using both mouse and tablet pen respectively,
- both legs are shaking while doing the above; of which will drag the body to shake along,
- the eyes are staring at the monitor while stealing sight of the rain outside the window,
- the ears are occupied with great instrumental music,
- the mouth is munching something and..
- the nose is trying hard to figure what’s that stinky smell on the air (the garbage lorry just passed by).
But of course, there is another kind of busybody, which I am also good at. LOL.
Ah well, I have been busy drawing, drawing and drawing. I am not complaining but enjoying every minute of it! Here’s two for my entries at iMastravel page @ Yahoo! Travel Malaysia.
Am working on few headers, a canvas painting for SIL, flower paintings for upcoming exhibition, sketches for sketchbook project 2011, preliminary sketches for my 2nd pictures book, illos for another book and many more. Not to leave behind blogging and updating my photos gallery and flickr.
Will post more drawings soon!

Tango – IF
The challenge this week at Illustration Friday (IF) is to illustrate ‘Tango’. A simple line drawing from me:
I’m having a bad lazy weekend. Will resume work tomorrow or Monday. But you never know, I might have the mood to upload a drawing or two in no time.
Happy weekend y’all!

Legendary – IF
I’m still hooked on line work. The challenge at IF is to illustrate ‘Legendary’. This is my interpretation of the legendary fiction character by Lewiss Carroll, Alice. I dunno whether this suits the challenge but here it is. Took 3 hours to complete the line work and I already felt tired. There’s a little bit empty space at the back to draw; will attend to it when time permits.
Lol! i think her dress looks a bit like barcode! Talk about barcode, I went to search the inventor of barcode, lol! Curiosity killed the cat but not me! Thanks to the internet technology i know now who invented barcode. It was invented by Joseph Woodland and Bernard Silver. There! And oh, it wasn’t until 1974 that barcode scanners was employed.

Rambunctious – Illo Friday *
I haven’t been able to take up Illo Friday challenges for more than 3 weeks already but took some time tonight to do last week’s challenge. The challenge is to illustrate ‘rambunctious’. Rambunctious definition: noisy, very active, and hard to control, usually as a result of excitement or youthful energy.
Here are random cartoons of my rambunctious son, Yassin.
Rambunctious Yassin | pen + marker on moleskine
click to enlargeRambunctious really is the word that fits him well. I have to be as rambunctious to keep up with him! Here’s a close-up of him you-tubing video of local song ‘Cek Mek Molek’.
My moleskine, 19 pages left!
