    The Blues – Illustration Friday

    The theme at Illustration Friday this week is ‘The Blues’. First thing came to mind was B.B. King, the King of the blues. So I thought, I do an illustration of him. But you have to pardon me for the not-so-perfect ‘Lucille‘ illustration.

    I have been exposed to his music during my childhood by my father, a big fan of Mr. King. I came to love his music as I listened along. My all time favourite is ‘Thrill is Gone’.

    For your information, Mr. King is having a series of Tour in The States this October, so if you’re a big fan, be sure to check his website for more information on the tour.

    Merdeka and AMBP Top 5

    First of all, I would like to wish all Malaysians, a very Happy Merdeka Day. It’s great to be able to witness the 50 years of Malaysia’s independence celebration. The celebration was a blast and during the time, I was in front of the TV watching our Prime Minister making his speech and officiating the celebration, which was held at Dataran Merdeka, KL. My husband and son were watching the fireworks from outside our unit, from the lift hall, on the 13th floor here in Damansara. We wanted to go out but due to the major headache I was having, we decided to stay home.

    A day before Merdeka Day, I was surprised and thrilled to receive an e-mail from The Star announcing that I have made it to the All Malaysian Bloggers Top 5 and won:
