• ABOUT ME,  Sketchbook 2011

    Done! I’m in!

    Ok, considering that it will take a while for my sketchbook to arrive, I ordered quickly for the sketchbook; opting out the digitizing part (first it was the t-shirt part, haha). I cannot wait any longer for payments to be in my PayPal account due to time factor. I hope I can still pay for both items opted-out at a later date.

    Here are the votes:

    * Things found on restaurant napkins – 1
    * It’s raining dogs and cats – 2
    * In 5 minutes – 4
    * Adhere to me – 1
    * Boys and girls – 10
    * The greatest story ever told – 1
    * Down your street – 2

    Majority wins! Thank you to all friends and readers, I have a theme already: Boys and Girls.

    I am anticipating the fun and joy in illustrating the sketchbook that will be on tour before landing permanently in Brooklyn Art Library, USA.

    Will get my sketchbook in approximately 2 weeks time!

    Oh, I must speed up my current project. 3 more bigbooks to illustrate! Rempit!

  • ABOUT ME

    Minimalist

    I hated my previous blog layout that I scrapped it out and use my old theme instead, the one that I did from free blank template last year. I minimised the widgets and what not.

  • ABOUT ME,  Sketchbook 2011

    Please help me decide

    I am participating in the Sketchbook Project 2011 but while waiting for some payments to make their way into my Paypal account (to be able to register, I have to pay), I can’t seem to decide what theme to choose from given themes as below:

    * Jackets, blankets, and sheets
    * Things found on restaurant napkins
    * It’s raining dogs and cats
    * Revenge
    * Trading forever
    * Dirigibles and submersibles
    * Capture the flag
    * … you’d be home by now
    * Make mine a double
    * In 5 minutes…
    * Adhere to me
    * Coffee and cigarettes
    * Boys and girls
    * The greatest story ever told
    * Science project gone wrong
    * Down your street
    * Secret codes

    I am thinking of “In 5 minutes” and draw things within 5 minutes. Or maybe “Down your street” and draw things down my street. What say you?

    I appreciate if you can leave a comment or two in my comment box. Thank you so much in advance!

    I’ll be taking the option of USD45 of particapting fee (USD25) + digitizing the artworks (USD20) + shipping USD3 = USD48. I have to scrap out the t-shirt part (USD20) as I don’t think I will be able to make it to United States for the tour exhibition. But I am keeping the faith that I can go on sponsorship, maybe by MAS hahahha

    Yes, that will be in my wildest dream only. I can dream, can’t I?

    I hope to be able to get the sketchbook by November and complete all by December and beat the postmark date of January 15, 2011. The tour will start in March 2011.

    Sketchbook project

    I want to join the Sketchbook Project but I need to wait until I have USD65 in my paypal. The deadline to participate is Oct 31, 2010 and I hope I can make it before the deadline as I will only receive my GCU payment on the same day.

    What is this project all about?

    Thousands of sketchbooks will be exhibited at galleries and museums as they make their way on tour across the country. After the tour, all sketchbooks will enter into the permanent collection of The Brooklyn Art Library, where they will be barcoded and available for the public to view. Anyone – from anywhere in the world – can be a part of the project.

    If you want to join me, do visit The Sketchbook Project.

    Genting Highland

    We went up to Genting Highland last Wednesday. Yassin has been wanting to go there for quite sometimes already. We took the family package tickets (RM192) for 2 adults and 2 children. This package covers both indoor and outdoor parks except for some areas.

    It was fun visiting this big theme park with over 40 rides. There’s so much of excitement and fun loads of thrilling adventures. At the outdoor park, Yassin and his cousin Marina got on a tea-cup ride as their height does not permits entry.

    Known as the ‘Fun City Above the Cloud’, Genting Highlands is the only legal land-based casino, Casino de Genting, in the country and is owned by Genting Malaysia Berhad, a subsidiary of Genting Group.  The resort has three theme parks which are Genting Outdoor Theme Park, First World Indoor Theme Park and Water Park. There are over 20 signature attractions which include Flying Coaster, Genting Sky Venture, Haunted House, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum, SnowWorld, Space Shot. There are fees to enter these attractions.
