My connection is back!
Yeehaww!!! My broadband line is on! Since Saturday! Lol, I didn’t even know it was already transferred on Saturday! You see, we use a splitter right from the line: one for phone, one for modem. The splitter was not working and after consulting with TMNet customer rep today, they told me to connect directly. Well, whaddaya know, it works!
Yassin is the happiest to have the connection back as he can ‘you-tube’ Ultraman!! Lol!
I am so sorry if I haven’t visited all of you lately. I will do so and catch-up with you today. It’s really great to be fully back online.

Busy Town
Busy Town by Emila | Pen and Marker in MoleskineI have not been participating for Monday Artday for quite sometimes and thought I start illustrating every week now. This is an additional resolution for this year.
The theme is ‘Busy Town’- This ‘town’ is a mixture of Penang, Melaka and KL. Added a French-style kedai roti (bakery) and kedai kopi (cafe). I use Micron pen for overall drawing, Artline Calligraphy pen for the title and Kurecolor marker for the shading. Here’s a cropped close-up:

100% – Illustration Friday
100% Bored by Emila | Mixed Media on MoleskineIllustration Friday’s theme this week is 100%. Lol! I really don’t know what to make for the theme, hope this one fits. Just made it today especially for the theme. When I’m 100% bored, I doodle a lot. When I’m 101% bored, I eat…hahaha
And yes, that’s my favourite position* when doodling! (*lying on the bed half sitting, crossing legs, leaning on the headboard with cushion behind back.)
Btw, while unpacking things from the boxes, I found treasures from the past! Out of boredom, my friends Elina, Marzie, Daliza and I had a little drawing competition in the office back in 2003! Lol!

Soar – Illustration Friday
“I am leaving for good, you should too. Soar high and find your way home…”This is how I remember it 30 years ago — saying goodbye to my dear friends. It happened on the day we left Melaka for Pahang. The day that I remember so well. The day that my mother told us that my father had left us. The day that I let my father’s birds go. I never knew if my father got pissed for what I did. I never asked.
He loved the birds but I loved them even more.
P/S: Sorry for the unkempt sketch. I’m in a hurry to pack my PC. Am moving to Ampang tomorrow. Hope I’ll get the connection up soon. Till then, Happy 2008 to all!
