Floral Choral Exhibition at Floria Putrajaya 2011l

I went there early yesterday to hang my paintings. Was there the night before, getting the screws up on the panel. The day before yesterday and yesterday was totally a tiring day. Not so much for the setting up but for getting stuck in the traffic jam. More than 2 hours on both days.

Anyway, here are some photos from the exhibition taken by my husband. Will be there everyday, on evening shift, from 4pm until 11pm. Will be there full day on Sunday. Do come if you like to own my original paintings or get some art portcards or notecards for keeps. The exhibition also features beautiful works by Shany Ahmed, Julya Oui and Edwin Kho. We’re at Booth F Under BSLN.

    Petronas Gallery Exhibition Launching

Alhamdulillah, an exhibition added to my portfolio. This is my 3rd Group Exhibition, the first being the Magic Mirror Exhibition organised by SCBWI Malaysia and second one The Cat Art Festival organised by ArtMalaysia.

This ongoing exhibition entitled Words+Pictures=Book, Contemporary Malaysian Picture Book Illustration is organised by Petronas Gallery. It offers the Malaysian public an insight into the world of children’s picture book illustration through a fascinating exploration which takes viewers into a dynamic, dreamlike and engaging territory, with 10 uniquely Malaysian tales told in different styles. While promising a visual treat for viewers of all levels, the exhibition also serves to elevate the status of Malaysian picture book illustration to a serious art form and inspire new generation illustrators, in recognition of its role in a burgeoning Malaysian art landscape.

I am so lucky to have Pak Yusof Gajah’s recommendation for this exhibition. I submitted my work through him and lucky again to be chosen to be with other great nine Malaysian illustrators namely Pak Yusof Gajah himself, Azalan Hussein, Shukri Edrus, Jainal Amambing, Awang Fadillah Ali Hussein, Faizal Abdul Jalil, Khairul Azmir Shoib, Nur Azmi Mokhtar and Chong Chin Yew.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Pak Yusof Gajah, Linda T. Lingard not leaving behind my husband and son for their endless supports.

Also big thanks to all of you who takes the time to read my blog and gives me moral support.

Top pictures were taken by my niece’s (Wanda) friends, Hazim and Naufal. Thank you boys for the pictures!  While below is the scanned spread cover for the books I did for Petronas Gallery. Logo was taken from Petronas Gallery’s website. Artworks’ copyright are now all belongs to Petronas Gallery.
