After two years, I am visiting Bologna again with fellow illustrator, Evi Shelvia. Our main agenda is to visit the Bologna Children’s Book Fair but 3 days prior to the fair, we will be spending some 19 hours layover in Dubai and still choosing from hotels for cop28, and 3 days around Bologna city. After the fair, we will visit Cinque Terre and Rome.

I actually packed my stuff a week ago in my 32L luggage but had to repack again as I have more items to add in the luggage as the days went by. And as a result, I had to expand the zipper and it looks awful.

And then today I got a bigger luggage with 50L capacity; Proteca Staria EX by ACE. Now all my stuff fits perfectly fine! I am truly loving it.  You can find ACE flagship stores at Isetan KLCC as well as Mitsui Outlet Park, Sepang KLIA. I just learned that ACE has only been here less than a year. On my previous travels, I saw ACE stores in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Instead of my bulky books, I am taking along with me prints/postcards/bookmarks by fellow artists/illustrators to be pinned on Illustrator’s Wall at Bologna Children’s Book Fair as well as my own promotional items.

My hope this year is to at least get a book or two licensed and published in another language as well as to make network with fellow authors, illustrators, and not leaving behind, publishers.
