    Seoul: Day 1-morning

Reached Incheon Airport, Seoul, South Korea at 8.20am local time. Reached hotel around 9.20am. The airport to hotel took about an hour.

    our hotel stay

Our Hotel Stay, Friend Hotel. That’s my husband posing at the hotel sign.

The hotel is situated at Seocho-Dong, Seocho-Gu, Seoul. Quite far from Central Seoul. We’re finding our way to Central Seoul. Most probably will be going to Itaewon today looking for Muslim food and mosque.

    seocho-dong street

Walking down the Seocho-Dong street, looking for plug adapter. Failed the first time.

Went second time in the heavy rain and found an electric shop. Borrowed the receptionist’s umbrella. Later we bought 2 umbrellas. Can’t wait for the rain to stop. It will be raining the whole day today, tomorrow and Monday. Tuesday is predicted to be clear, let’s hope me and my other half can do a lot of travelling on that day.

Working to better the artwork but so far this is the initial drafted design. Working last minute for Helmy. Done the drawing last night, the layout this morning.

I think it should be darker (in concept) hence the use of limited colors (background should be darker) but Helmy wants it to be colorful. Will argue with him when I come back from Seoul.

    Poslaju sucks!

    This is the proof.

I am so frustrated. Even I had  wrapped the mug with quite a thick bubble wrap (inside and outside) and filled the gap with newspaper, it didn’t survived the Pos Malaysia handling. Such a BAD handling. I am soooooooooooooo sad and mad. The writing on the box “handle with care” fell on deaf ears. I know I am bound by the Sender’s Risk term but I am going to write to Pos Malaysia soon.

I am so sorry Aja for the broken mug. Am refunding your money soon as possible.

    Oh Poslaju!

I am a proud Malaysian who likes to use local services. This includes Poslaju service by Pos Malaysia. Today, I went to Pos Malaysia and was told that they don’t really accept parcel with anything that is fragile including a porcelain mug, which I was sending this morning. I asked the person in charge, what are the options that I have. She wrote “Sender’s Risk” on the slip and asked me to sign beside it. I can send the mug provided that I agree to the term. I asked again if they are strict about not taking anything fragile, what are the options that I really have? Send it by hand? Or go look for other services? She just smiled.

So I signed it as I don’t really have time to run around Ampang looking for City-Link or Kangaroo or UPS or whatever we have here in Malaysia. Besides, Pos Malaysia is very near to my house, very convenient.

Previously, the service was good, nothing was broken but lately, mugs sent by my mug printer to my customer were always broken. This is because (according to the person in charge just now), they put everything in a sack and the risk of getting things broken are high.

I would like to take this opportunity to call Pos Malaysia to at least upgrade the service where handling is priority. I don’t mind paying extra (as long as my customers don’t mind paying extra as well).

Anyway, I wrapped the mug with bubblewrap and fill in the gap with newspaper. Wrapped the box again with bubblewrap before wrapping it with a brown paper. Let’s see whether this one makes it unbroken. If it’s broken, I have to take the blame because I signed the Sender’s Risk term. It is not Pos Malaysia’s fault. Sound so sweet.
