Illustrato Schizzi di Italia I
This is just for my keepsake of the trip to Italy and I will only draw in this journal when time permits. I am currently working on the JKM/Unicef book covers illustrations; have so far finished 7 out of 14. Hopefully to complete all by Sunday.
All drawings of Illustrato Schizzi will be based on pictures that I took during the trip. I am using Mori Art de Vienna Sketch Journal. Size is A4, weight is 150gm and it’s acid free. I got it for RM14 only. The papers are quite good for light washes of watercolor.
Ciao! Buonanotte!

Yassin turns 7!
Every year when he turns a year older, I will feel as if he had been born just a day before. I remember vividly giving birth to him on the afternoon (12.55pm) of 29th December, seven years ago. I was in the labour room for more or less 12 hours. My water broke the night before and he seemingly wanted to come out early but it was not until afternoon that he came out.
Yassin in the labour room. 1 day old.
And I freshly remember how he started making repetitive, high-pitched giggles, shrieks and noises… (he do this up to date)
Yassin saying googoogaagaa to the rubber duck. 5 months old.
I remember how he made the sad face when his pacifier being taken away…
6 months old.
…and how he poked the cake on his first birthday…
1 year old
…and when he started to walk fast…
1 year 1 months
…and how he made that angry face.
1 year 2 months. oh! i love that curly hair!
Hehe I can go on and on showing thousands of pictures of him up to 7 years old, you know! I think I’m going to make a video out of pictures of him from day 1 up to now when time permits. Till then, here are some pictures from his little birthday celebration at home with his two cousins, grandma, his dad and me.
He just lost his upper front tooth so blowing was quite hard…
Seven
Cousins and dad.
Grandma or Atok.

P/S: Sorry for the long gap of posts, I wasn’t feeling too well. Been sick since the 22nd and was up just to post the xmas entry. I am feeling better now.

Video of Boys and Girls Sketchbook
Finally, a video of the sketchbook and short snippet on the making of the cover at the end. Enjoy!
Please take note that all quotes on the left side of the sketchbook will not be on the real one. They are collective quotes on what i wrote in this blog for each sketch. I just realised that it seems like they’re part of the sketchbook. I am too lazy to render the video again, so I just let it be.

Bye bye Sketchbook!
Sadly departed with my cahier sketchbook as it’s making its journey to the USA this morning. Hopefully it will reach Art House @ Brooklyn Library before January 15th 2011.
It will be sadly missed. Till we meet again when time (and financial) permits.
