KL: Did You Know? I
November 2, 2009 FT of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur
Did you know that if you follow the main road and keep right after the Sungai Besi Toll (from South), you’ll end up back at the Sungai Besi Toll? Just remember the ribbon-shaped route illustrated above and you’re good to go.
If you are just driving-through without the intention of stopping by anywhere, this route is the best for you. You’ll see some of the main landmarks of Kuala Lumpur. If by accident you entered the Smart Tunnel, no worries, you are still on the right track. Just keep right.

ok lah ok ni i share the city-planning tips with you&hubby too.
that ribbon you drew? it’s actually called ‘ring-roads’. and there are actually three layers of ring-road around KL:
first, the ring road that goes outer KL — MRRs (Middle Ring Road I & II) where it meets Selayang Highway, then the LDP, then the Lebuhraya bukit jalil and back onto MRR at Sg.Besi.
and then the ‘ribbon-road’ as you call it.
and then the latest internal ring-road is Jalan Sultan Ismail – Jln Kinabalu – Jln Maharajalela – Loke Yew – back onto Tun Razak and back down to Sultan Ismail.
so… happy going around with hubby through all these three ring roads!!!
and yeah, pastu update lagi the ribbon-roads that you’ve explored? mesti cute! can definitely sell to the Majlis Tindakan Pelancongan KL! ;D
@rkm, RKM, thank you for the info!! We are aware of other ring roads but this is the only ring road (‘ribbon road’ as i called it) that leads back to the same spot when you keep right. You cannot do this on other ring roads.
May be you can explore also!
