    shoes, shoes, shoes

Ok, I have to admit that I have a thing for shoes be it heels, boots, slippers, sandals, snickers, baby shoes, etc. I think shoes are a very good subject to draw.

This one is my cousin’s wedding shoes.

    Up on the hill

We went up the Langat Hill earlier tonight just to catch a glimpse of KL cityline while having a breath of fresh air.

My son wanted to know how does other cities in the world looks like. I told him the big cities in the world look similar; only with different buildings and landscapes. He asked me to bring him to one of those big cities one day. I just told him, “one day dear, one day.” We’ve been to almost all parts of Malaysia and I think one fine day (when I save enough money), I’ll consider one of those Orlando vacations and head to the Magical Kingdom of Walt Disney with him. Well maybe with husband too if he wants to go. He’s not into traveling overseas because he has been places he said.

    Worn – IF

Illustration Friday’s challenge for last Friday is ‘Worn’. Here’s a drawing of my worn out slipper. Been using it for half a year already and now I have a new slipper.

    My moleskine: 38 pages left.

I just cannot stick to just flora and fauna (nature study) as the theme limits me from completing my moleskine so I thought of adding still life as well.

    Cat’s flea! help!

frontlineplusYesterday, while sitting near my cat I saw a flea jumping out from his fur. That was horrendous and you should see how my jaw dropped! Luckily he’s always not home and only came back for food and sleep; he sleeps on the porch under the car. I am so afraid that the flea will get into the house and today I found myself surfing for the right flea prevention. I found Frontline but dunno whether it’s available locally. I have never been to the pet store and I only buy the cat food supply from nearby Carrefour. I am going to the pet store to look for similar product. Do you have recommendations for me? Let me know. I was curious about getting a Maine Coon cat as a pet, so I asked the breeder, “Just how much does a Maine Coon cat cost?

But then again, he has so many friends and I surely know that later on his friends will pass back some fleas to him! I think it is a good idea that I should go and inject all the neighbourhood cats with flea prevention! Additionally, for times when you need a secure and comfortable place for your feline friend, consider services like a cattery Melbourne to ensure they receive proper care and attention.

    The Morning Post

I finally received from Helmy a free copy of the book which the cover was done by me. Well, to be precise, it was just my photography with ITNM’s own template, but I’m really proud of it. To get the crown effect droplet was not easy and it took me and my husband hundreds of shots. You can read the process of taking the photo at my other blog.

    About the book
The Morning Post is an English translated version of Hujan Pagi by Datuk A. Samad Said published by ITNM.

    Google PageRank

emila pr3The past years have saw Emila’s Illustrated Blog having rated 5, 4, 3, 0 and 2 by Google PR. From the trend, you can see it was a downward trend. Recent updates saw EIB being blessed with PR3 again. Frankly, I don’t really care. I used to be so upset when my PR was down because I was doing paid reviews with Pay Per Post (PPP) and to be able to get more opportunities (opps), I need to have a good PR. With PR2 previously, opps were really hard to get. But over time, I managed to get over it and even stopped doing paid reviews for PPP.

So What is Google PageRank (PR)?

Google PR  is a system for ranking web pages developed by Google  founders; Larry Page and Sergey Brin. PR is assigned by Google which represents to relative importance of a web page. The PR for a web page can vary between 0 and 10. A higher PR number will help you to score better in your SERPS, which will bring more visitors to your web page.

PageRank reflects the importance of web pages by considering more than 500 million variables and 2 billion terms. Pages that they believe are important pages receive a higher PageRank and are more likely to appear at the top of the search results.

PageRank also considers the importance of each page that casts a vote, as votes from some pages are considered to have greater value, thus giving the linked page greater value. Google have always taken a pragmatic approach to help improve search quality and create useful products, and their technology uses the collective intelligence of the web to determine a page’s importance.

Here’s a tool to check your Google PR as well as Alexa ranking:
