    At work

I still have 10 more drawings (plus the cover) to illustrate for the children’s book I’m working on for Oyezbooks. Here’s a picture of me taken by my husband. He wanted me to post this and update my blog!

Oh lihatlah tangan ku yang besar itu! I don’t care, I’m gonna get me a diet pill this instance! I didn’t do anything to lose weight right now as the more work I have, the more I tend to eat. The more I eat the faster I am at work. Even that means the FATTER I get.

    Khemy

I went to meet Khemy (or better known as Ida amongst friends) to pass her the photo that she won from guessing where the header from my other blog was taken. It was great to meet her again! The last time I met her was during Azrai’s (my brother) wedding exactly two years back.

    Wedding invite

A wedding card made for Farah Yusri. She gave me a sample on how she wanted it to look like. She likes the output! Can’t wait to receive the real invite.

Front: Illustration is done digitally. Using chalk brush in PS and of course Farah’s photo as reference.

Back: Omitted the names for security reason.

I have loads of things to blog about; namely Somethin’ Urby, about Khemy, the progress of the children’s book I’m illustrating, etc. I also have two more works to clear; a poetry book and a website. I’m not taking extra job after clearing these two as I want to concentrate on the children’s book. But dollies are exceptional.

    Comprehensive and collision

Comprehensive and collision insurance…I just learned about this today, lol! Been renewing car insurance without knowing the meaning of comprehensive and collision. I leave it fully to my husband to understand the whole thing and will refer to him if anything happens. Well nothing is going to happen if I drive carefully, right? So far in 12 years of driving, I have  had only one minor accident in 1998. Didn’t claimed anything coz I don’t really understand the whole process. Was not married yet that time.

This my finding from my recent read:

Comprehensive auto insurance policy coverage provides protection against the following:

    • Theft
    • Fire
    • Vandalism
    • Collision with animal
    • Windstorm
    • Flying objects (err..UFO is it?)
    • Haili like to read children's books
    • Broken Windows

    Collision car insurance coverage covers:

    • Damage caused by the upset of the covered auto
    • Damage caused by impact with another vehicle or object *

    * Should’ve claimed this one back then!

But this is just from the website that I read, dunno whether it’s the same in Malaysia. Too lazy to look at the real thing. It kinda have small texts and so many things to read. I only like to look at pictures with bigger texts. Well thin novels as well. Anna Karenina is so out of the list although I wanted very much to read the book! Perhaps one day.

    A day off

I am taking a day off today and went to pick up a basket from my sis-in-law (Wawa) that another sis-in-law (Kak Ngah) made for me. Beautiful innit?! She made this out of newspapers and varnish. I studied the handwork and must say it is very neat and intricate; a lot of patience is needed to complete the whole basket.

Thank you Kak Ngah for the lovely basket!

Kak Ngah is starting her basket crafts business in May! If you would like to have her crafted a basket for you, let me know!
