Crash boom bang
Yesterday, when I heard a loud bang from across the road, I sneaked outside the window to see what was happening. I could hardly see from afar, so I took the camera and zoomed-in to the max. This is what I saw:
Left: few minutes after the loud bang | right: a patrol car reached the scene within few minutesYep, something had been thrown down from the building across. I could not really guessed what was the thing that smashed the car, so I asked my husband who just got back, to go and have a look. My husband came back few minutes later with a clearer picture. I was shaken but quite relief to learn that nobody hurts. Lucky it was a car but I felt sorry for the owner.
When something, however small, is thrown from high-rise building, it is more than likely to seriously injure or kill someone if it lands on them. It is such an irresponsible and dangerous act.
Couple of police cars arrived at the scene and I saw them going up the building, probably to hunt for the irresponsible person who hurled the thing down. I never got to witness the whole story (I believe the policemen have caught the person) but I got to see what the thing was. Here’s a picture that my husband took:
It was a tv set!!!One question that keeps lingering in my head until now, “what were they thinking!?”

Visitors – Illustration Friday
Visitors | WatercolorIt’s nice to have adorable visitors flocking the fountain bath sometimes. It’s even more fun if we could join them bathing.

Pressies for Daliza
A pair of mugs I made for Daliza who turns 35 this year. It’s not right to just make one, so I made another one for her husband. As they have a new baby (Ali) this year, I illustrated both of them with Ali.
I haven’t bought anything for Baby Ali yet, so I took the opportunity to make a diaper bag for Daliza to carry. The car softie was a gift from Yassin to Ali.

Captain – Illustration Friday
Don’t mess with us | watercolor & prismacolorI can’t help but to illustrate typical captain with a cape. Captain Emot and her friends are ready to fight crimes. Captain Emot couldn’t find anything suitable and thought that her mother’s sarong was pretty enough to be her cape and complement her colorful outfit.

Save the Sumatran Rhino
Newfound friend, Chubbs the Rhino | watercolor
Sumatran rhino is considered a Malaysian heritage
and is the most seriously endangered species of large mammals
in the world with only an estimated 300 of them left in the world.
Like thousands of other Nuffnangers, I am doing my bit to raise awareness and to support the Honda WWF Rhino Rescue Project which aims to secure two protected areas for the protection of rhinos and for the recovery of stable rhino populations in the protected areas. With funding from Honda, WWF will work closely with Department of Wildlife & National Parks (PERHILITAN), Perak State Park Corporation, Sabah Wildlife Department and Yayasan Sabah Group to increase research efforts.More details can be found at Honda’s Save our Sumatran Rhinos and WWF – Rhino.
