Adapt – IF

Posted by emila Filed Under IF, digital illos with 57 Comments

Still on the duckling that just hatched last week. I decided to name it Dudu.

Dudu is trying to adapt her new life out of her shell; though she can’t part from half of it. She learns to swim and got some new friends.

Cracked – IF

Posted by emila Filed Under IF, digital illos with 112 Comments

It has been so long since I last illustrate for Illustration Friday‘s challenge. Thought I make a comeback this week. The challenge is to illustrate ‘cracked’.

itik

This is more to hatch rather than crack but I guess both words relate in a way. I was thinking of a card for newborn baby when illustrating this. 30 minutes, digital.

I am so not in the mood to work this week and my body feel so heavy. If only I could get my hands on the fat burner pill. I bet I weigh more than 76kg now! I am so in need to lose back that 10kg!

Foldees “Monochrome” Contest

Posted by emila Filed Under contest, digital illos with 25 Comments

I’ve put an illustration that I have done for a better purpose. Before, it was just a mere personal illustration but when Foldees announced its “Monochrome” Greeting Cards Contest, I quickly jumped and amended the illustration to fit the templates given by Foldees.

Creative block

Posted by emila Filed Under digital illos with 31 Comments

I know I should be doing work but I am having a creative block, still have one book layout to do and a cover design for another book. My mind went blank every time i try to start designing so I gave up and open up the Corel Painter.

Trying to get acquainted with Corel Painter. I love the watercolor tool; works like the real thing. Anyway, I also have few assignments waiting to be written; one being about AED. I never seen or used one so I think I should be doing a research now. Hooroo!

Old headers

Posted by emila Filed Under blogging life, digital illos with 53 Comments

Oh! How i miss this little girl!!

Found these in one of my archive CDs. They were my headers for my then blog which I created manually using Frontpage. It was too hard to keep up the blogging manually, so I switched to Blogger before switching to WordPress.

I am trying to locate my little sleepy girl header. So far, I only found the thumbnail but I will keep on looking. It was one of my favourite. Yea, I like to change my header often and did not keep track of the previous ones.

Yea, I like to change my mind often. My friends Marzie and DD know this.

Rose

Posted by emila Filed Under digital illos, gardening with 52 Comments

Fresh from my mom’s garden. Roses are blooming like crazy! Was it because of the banana peels that my husband buried under the bushes?? He got the idea from Will Smith in ‘Seven Pounds’. I guess the potassium helped with the flowering.

You can try this at your garden. Or you can google ‘Banana peel rose bush‘ first before you try.
