Jackie – Emerging Young Artist
WOW – was the first thing that came to mind when I saw Jackie’s drawings that she sent through e-mail. Her works are filled with such great detail, very delightful and absolutely charming!
I’ve recently got to know Jackie from her father, JD, who left messages in my shoutbox saying that his daughter loves my artwork. Jackie told me that she loves drawing and uses crayons and colour pencils as her main mediums. I personally think that her drawings are beautiful! Her shadings are great and her choice of colors are just the way I like it–calm and cheerful!
Here are some details about Jackie:

Blanket – Illo Friday
Favourite waste of time | watercolorThe theme is ‘Blanket’ over at Illo Friday. I haven’t got time to draw anything this week due to heavy workloads so I thought this painting fits perfectly for the title. I did this painting back in 2000. It wasn’t protected so you could see the smears, caused by the rain few days ago. You see this painting resides in my portfolio bag which I kept by my table near the window. The window was wide open and I was having a nap when I heard my mother called me ‘tengok ni, habis dah basah!’ (See, it’s all wet!)
No worries, I’ll touch-up the smears in no time. Haha, don’t you just love doodling on the bed!?

I knit!
I am so proud of myself! I just learned knitting few days ago and almost gave up when I couldn’t even cast and stitch the first row! But luckily, my son told me, ” try again and again until you get it.” I finally got it after trying more than 20 times. Thank you baby, you’re my motivator!
Here’s the result:
I made the button out of clay and colored it using acrylic paint!
