KL: Did you know? II
Did you know that on 8 August 1995, the lifting of skybridge was halted for few hours due to bad weather condition? The storm struck in the evening and the wind was so strong that the engineers worried the lifting cables would sway and snap in the wind.
It was lifted to its final position at the 41st and 42nd levels of the PETRONAS Twin Towers on 9 August 1995 after grueling 32 hours.
The skybridge was not part of the KLCC initial design. It was added later to facilitate an escape route between the Petronas Twin Towers.

KL: Did You Know? I
Did you know that if you follow the main road and keep right after the Sungai Besi Toll (from South), you’ll end up back at the Sungai Besi Toll? Just remember the ribbon-shaped route illustrated above and you’re good to go.
If you are just driving-through without the intention of stopping by anywhere, this route is the best for you. You’ll see some of the main landmarks of Kuala Lumpur. If by accident you entered the Smart Tunnel, no worries, you are still on the right track. Just keep right.
Tips by my husband, actually 😀

Win Emila’s 2010 Calendar
The printing is scheduled middle of November but the publisher is in need of relevant quotes for my calendar. As they know that my schedule is quite tight, they suggested that I open it to my readers to find the most suitable quotes for all illustrations and win the calendar. Yes, it’s like a small contest and this time the prizes are sponsored by my publisher 😀
So, are you game for it?
Here’s how:
1. Find the best quote that fits each illustration below (you can google or search in the internet).
2. Post the quote (along with the name of the person who quoted it – example: At the touch of love, everyone is a poet ~ Plato)Â along with the illustration/month IDÂ in my comment box. Don’t forget your name and e-mail
3. One person can suggest only one illustration/month to give chance to other people to win as well.Prizes:

Ikan Laga | Watercolor + Graphite on Moleskine
My moleskine now has only 20 pages left to draw. My challenge is to complete the whole sketch book by end of this year before I buy a new moleskine.
Any suggestion for me what to draw next? Let me know! Thanks heap!
