Domains and web hosting

Recently, I have many new blogger friends asking me on how to set-up their own blogs/websites with own domain. Well the answer is simple really, just look for a company that offers both domain and hosting.

For those who just started blogging, they might have small budget, so for a start I would suggest you look for a Web Hosting company that gives discount, for example: discountdomainsuk.com. …Kontot.

Our cat, Tiger went missing a week before my mom returned from Makkah. We searched high and low for him but he’s nowhere near. We suspected that he has been picked up by someone whom, we suspected, is looking for a cat.

Later, a week after my mom got back, my cousin gave us a kitten. But it ended with a tragedy.

Recently, we found a stray cat. Mom fell in love with him because of his similarity with tiger (only he has short tail – kontot, in Malay), so we took him home. My son, Yassin, named him Kontot after the tail. But then he got creative and named the cat, Sabertot.

Coding yang gila

When I was about to head to bed, I suddenly realised that I haven’t tested the new shipping rates I’ve added to my Littleshop. So I hurried back and logged in as user. What I was afraid of was happening!!!!!!! The checkout shipping page was empty!!! White, blank, nothing, nada!

So what I did was, upload a debugging tools and checked the cache file. The problem was in line 59 of the zone dot php file. And guess what was on the 59th line? Nothing!!!!

Exactly!

I deleted the empty line, saved the file and uploaded the file to the server again. I also deleted line 58 which was empty. Just tinggalkan butir ?> on the last line.

Soooooooooooooooooo, if you happen to come across the same problem with Zen Cart’s zone dot php file, just do what I did.

Messing around…

I am the type who likes to change my mind often (that includes templates of my blog) and in tonight’s case, I changed my littleshop’s template. My old template was kinda worn off already so I went looking for free ZenCart template on the internet but then I realised that I like none! I guess, the finest things don’t come free these days. So I went looking further searching for premium template and found one that I like. Quickly it’s mine for USD27! Yippee!

I had a tough time reading the manuals and doing some calculation but I’m loving it! I can now add international shipping plugin! Wohoooooo!

I failed my math terribly but worry not, the rates are according to Pos Malaysia rates + the handling of RM2.00 (local) and RM5.00 for international (registered mail +packing).

These are the countries I am shipping to:

Local: Malaysia (of course)
Zone A: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos,Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam
Zone B: India, Pakistan, North Korea, South Korea
Zone C: Japan, Australia and New Zealand
Zone D: Great Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Russia
Zone E: United States, Canada

Owl Decal in littleshop

It’s available now in My Littleshop. Due to the many colors of the decal, the price is Rm100. Add shipping charges of RM8.00 for Peninsular Malaysia and RM15.00 for Sabah & Sarawak. For the time being it is not available international via the shop as I do not know how to add in the international rates plugin in Zen Cart. The last time I did, my shop went haywired. But worry not, you can e-mail me via the contact form and tell me your location. I will calculate the shipping and send you the invoice.

I am working on a cheaper one-colored decal, come back for more updates. Thanks!
