Enida!

Posted by emila Filed Under blogging life, friends with 5 Comments

Yesterday, I finally got to meet Enida, my online friend who is here for a holiday!

We have been online friends for almost a year now and it is really great to finally meet Enida in person! And also, I got to meet her adorable son, Edrick!

We met in Ampang Point and talked over Penang cuisine! We talked a lot and exchanged stories about ourselves. I felt like we have known each other all my life and it was like meeting a very long lost friend. The feeling is great and we definitely going to meet again before she left for Russia, where she currently resides with her husband and two children, Edrick and Kitreena. Kitreena could not make it as she has to attend school. Knowing that I love magnets, Enida showered me with beautiful ones along with porcelain thimble and lapel pins which she bought from her recent trips to Sweden, Canada and Australia.

Thank you Enida!! I love them all especially Sverigeflicka & Sverigepojke!

Congrats to Bain!

Good news!! As of today, Bain is a father!! Her wife Myra has given birth to a healthy baby boy!

Congratulations Bain and Myra!

Bain kept me updated last night while waiting excitedly for the birth of his first child at the hospital. Eager to find out about the baby, I called him this morning to keep myself updated.

Yay! Now I am waiting eagerly for his son’s photos.

Bain, Jia and Adi came to visit me the other day!! And guess what they brought me? Chocolate Indulgence from Secret Recipe! A very SPECIAL Chocolate Indulgence from Secret Recipe!!

Aww…my heart melt like the cake! Thank you Bain, Jia and Adi!!! I love you guys!

We talked and laughed and updated ourselves with the latest news. The three of them (all are office-mates) has not been able to visit my blog from their office computers for quite sometimes already as it has been blocked. Oh, how sad! But that’s okay, block or not, I know I am close to their heart as they are to mine.

Bain bought 5 of ‘My Mother’s Garden on behalf of his officemates! He bought one for himself last week. Thank you Bain and friends for the support!

With Mr. P

BIG THANK YOU to Bain, Jia and Adi for the visit!

Dare to realise a dream

Posted by emila Filed Under friends, world events with 12 Comments

Previously, 10 years previously, he was about to fly around the world on his airplane, nicknamed Putrajaya Malaysia, a Velocity RG, that he custom-built with retire American pilot and engineer, Steve Korney. Due to the 9/11 incident, his dream was shattered…but the thought of realising his dream survived.

Tomorrow, after 10 years, he will realised his dream, not on his airplane, but only on his 128cc Modenas GT motorcycle; that he nicknamed Lil G.  It was like a dejavu. Back then, I was one of his website team members and today I play the same role, only I am being alone, as we are short of Yanti and Nellie. A friend is a friend. No matter how crazy his dream is, you will be there to support him.

My friend, Hadi Hussien, will embark tomorrow on a journey to London, UK by traversing through Asia and the Middle East. Hadi will be covering 27 countries and close to 30,000 kilometers in total distance.

Hadi, himself, will update his blog, I Am Malaysian, from where he will be at ( if there’s an internet connection) but if he’s really not in the position to do so, I am here on stand-by 24/7 to help him do just that.

Hadi is looking for sponsorships and in return, sponsors will get to advertise products on Hadi’s sidebar. The hit is currently not that high  (an average of 200 visitors daily)  as we just put up the blog over over a week ago, but we expect traffic to soar higher as Hadi starts his journey and begins updating us with pictures and stories, hopefully videos too. More information on sponsorship can be found at the Advertise page. He accepts donations also.

I will be updating about the flag-off tomorrow. The flaging-off will be at Sri Pentas, Bandar Utama, 24th April 2010 and will be aired live via TV9′s Nasi Lemak Kopi O at 9.45am.

Meet Lil G and Hadi Hussein.

A short meeting with Jia and Bain

jia dan bain

Went to meet Jia and Bain yesterday 10.30am at their office’s cafeteria. Jia came down to meet me first as Bain was in a meeting. We talked for almost an hour but Bain was nowhere to be seen. By the time I walked down the stairs and waved at Jia, I saw Bain ran his way out of the lift and braked his shoes in front of Jia! Lol, berasap kasut dia! We talked a bit and took pictures! It was fun meeting Jia and Bain! Hope to meet again and talk for hours, but of course I have to find a way for Yassin to sit still. (Bain and Jia , you know lah how active Yassin is!)

Bain was my neighbour back in the 80s.
