    Size: 20cm x 25.5cm | Year: 2020

By right I should have 6 pages left on my moleskine but somehow when I flipped over I found 3 more empty pages! So officially, I have 9 more pages left to draw! Heh.

I’ve been drawing the whole day and managed to draw 7 pages. Will post the others after this.

    Moleskine challenge: my hands *

my hands | soft pastel on moleskine

You probably have figured it all out that besides drawing women, I love to draw my hand/s. Well, hands can be the most difficult body part to draw, I sometimes had more than 5 sketches to get them drawn correctly. If you look at my Tioman Illustrated 2 drawing, I have both hands in the drawing. Can you believe that I drew my right hand with my left hand? I’m kinda ambidextrous but my left hand is not so powerful when it comes to drawing and writing. It is meant to do other tasks. ;P

I have the above in sketch for more than a month already and did the coloring yesterday after finishing the pretend women drawing. Hope you enjoy looking at all my drawings!

I’m going out in a bit to do some groceries shopping, I mights stop by the pharmacy to look for Bellaplex. Will have more posts tonight!

    My moleskine: 38 pages left!

    Pretend – IF *

Close your eyes and pretend | soft pastel + collage on Moleskine

Close your eyes and pretend; you can be a princess, a mermaid, a fairy, anything at all. Close your eyes and pretend; you can be anywhere, on a bed of roses, in a field of grass, anywhere at all.

Illustration Friday‘s challenge this week is to draw ‘Pretend’. The drawing above was done in soft pastel (chalk) and the detailing part like hair was done using soft pastel pencil. I added some dried leaves and petals to make it look dreamy.

My moleskine: 40 pages left to draw.

    Moleskine Challenge: Merbah

Merbah | Mixed media on moleskine

63 pages left! Used Prismacolor colored pencils for the foreground and oil pastel for the background. I didn’t really like the thick pastel effect on this one so I wiped it off with tissue to achieve a very thin layer.

This specific Merbah (bulbul) is of the Yellow-vented species.

    Save – IF

Save the best for last | pastel + colorpencil on moleskine

The theme is ‘Save’ over at Illustration Friday. Am a bit late for this week’s theme due to the KLIBF and some other commissioned work.

When I was a kid, I would save the best piece for last during meal time, to me it was purely a joy. But sometimes I got unlucky because my sister would steal all the joy away from me and swallowed it fast!
