    Fairies, continued *

OK, the last time I stopped was at Iris, Jacey and Karyn (#9, #10 and #11 respectively). This time I continued with #12: Layla, #13: Maurelle and #14: Nerida. I was supposed to completed another challenge, ATC Fairy Series, last year but never got around to finish. This year, along with the Moleskine, I am determined to complete my A to Z ATC Fairy Series Challenge.

I will be selling these at emilayusof@etsy. Click on them to see larger version.

    ATC: Merdeka

Merdeka ATC | Prismacolor & Graphite on Matt Board

Finally, the Merdeka ATCs are ready! Need to post them to Rizal tomorrow!

I picked 3 subjects to draw for the Merdeka ATC swap; Malaysia‘s flag, Tunku Abdul Rahman and Sultan Abdul Samad Building. I highlighted the subjects because they are well related; Sultan Abdul Samad Building witnessed it allthe independence declaration by Tunku Abdul Rahman and the Malaysia national flag being first hoisted.

    Hot goodies!

Hurrah!! The package that I have been waiting from Mangosteenskin is finally here! Received it at 11.30am this morning.

Few local artists namely Mangosteenskin, Rizal, Debbie, Cecima, Megat, Ida, Jiwasintetik and me has agreed to participate in an ATC swap hosted by Manggis (I like to call Mangosteenskin by this name, shorter for me to type). the theme was ‘Identity’. For those of you not in the know, ATC stands for Artist Trading Cards and they are miniature works of art that serve as business cards for artists and some people trade and collect them.

So, in return of my 3 cards, I received 3 cards by Mangosteenskin, Rizal and Cecima (below photo, respectively). Thank you all! They are truly beautiful! Rizal gave extra goodie with his card; a magnificent rattan butterfly! Thank you Rizal! Love it!

Beside the 3 ATCs, I received extra goodies from Manggis!! She sent me printouts of her illustrations and also a hair bun clip that Rizal gave her. Hehe Rizal, the clip has made its way back here! Love, love, love them all! I also think that Manggis’s stamped signature is cool! Hmm jelesi ni, nak kena buat satu juga!

Last but not least, I also received surprise gifts from Manggis; original paper clip arts entitled ‘Candies for Three’ and ‘Rooster on The Block’! She said that the ‘Candies for Three’ was made especially for me! Love it dear, love it! Thank you so much for thinking of me!

See? They’re so adorable and I clipped them right away on my moleskine!

I am so happy today to see that my collection of great original ATCs made by great artists, locally and internationally is growing. I plan to double the collection by participating in more swapping session soon as I finished with my major freelance job, which is tomorrow!! I’m passing the final artwork (and the INVOICE!! haha) tomorrow! But I really have to clear off pending jobs such as Bella’s classroom t-shirts, Raising Mercury’s totebag and Helmy’s SUS bookcover design/typesetting (alamak, this is major too!). Pengsan sudah.

    ATC: Cat Swaps

Can you believe that I actually forgot to scan my cat ATC!! That was not the only thing; they required 3 cards but I only mailed one! I dunno, there was so many things in my head, I simply forgot. So what I got in return was only one card plus the host’s card.

Here are the cards; by Esmeralda (host) and Eslina (trader) respectively.
