    PD Photos

My brother, Azrai who works in a bank booked the company’s apartment in Tanjung Biru (also known as Blue Lagoon), Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. We planned to go to Langkawi but had to cancel because sis-in-law is in her early stage of pregnancy and could not travel far.

Azrai also sponsored our lunch and dinner! Yay, thanks bro!

    Back from PD

Got back from PD in the afternoon. Am working on something at the moment and have yet to sort and compress photos from PD. In the mean time, enjoy Ben 10 that Yassin drew while in PD. Ben 10 has superseded Ultraman in his list!

The Age That I Wish To Go Back To

I have been tagged by Jean Chia to do this tag: The Age That I Wish To Go Back To . Thank you Jean, this is my most favourite meme!

I wish to go back to the age when I was 7. 1976 was indeed the best year; it was the first year I went to school.

    Class of 1976
Precious moments, Class of 1976, Sekolah Rendah Kem Terendak, Melaka
    (click photo to enlarge)

Mrs. Sampson was my class teacher and also the English teacher. Siti Aishah was my bestest buddy who called me ‘Umbrella". She said my name reminds me of one! The class monitor (I forgot the name, I think it was Jessica or Melinda) was giving me a hard time making me beg her (in English!) everytime I wanted to go to the restroom. Rizal is the most cutest boy in class! Rashidi was smacked by my best buddy for kissing me in the cheek (padan muka dia! ) My sister matchmade me with Alex. I didn’t mind because Alex is cute; and chubbs too! Feisal was a sweety, a soft spoken boy who doubled his weight in the 2nd year of school! He said his mama gave him too much vitamins!

I felt sorry I didn’t remember others that much. So friends, if you’re in this photo, let me know, I am dying to meet you all!

So, did you see me? The first one to guess me right will get a personalised blank book handmade by me! Happy guessing! Already got winner! Congrats to Marzie for guessing me right!

    Out of the shell!

I have always been inferior when it comes to meeting people. I am so afraid that I make a fool out of myself. When Helmy invited me to join him at the book fair, I said ‘ok’. But when the time drew near, I told Helmy ‘maybe’. I always like to change my mind the very last minute. I told my husband, Zaim, that I have second thoughts. Zaim told me that one of the tips (by the late Lim Goh Tong) to be succesful is to never cancel appointments or meeting (I reminded him that it’s only a bookfair). He looked at me in the Emila!, Ida and Bapakeyes dengan garangnya and told me to just be myself and go with the flow.me, ida and bapak
And so I did. I went out of my coconut shell (or shall I say tempurung!) and met people. Zaim is so right, it wasn’t that hard. I met bloggers, whom I got to know their names from Helmy. I never got to talk to them but knowing who’s who is good enough. I saw Jiwarasa. I saw Ted Mahsun. I saw Faizal Tehrani. I met Nisah Haron, the writer personally. Talked to her, she’s sweet, prettier up-close. I also got to meet and talked to Prof Dr. Siti Zainon Ismail (Bonda), an artist, poet, writer and Malay art, culture and heritage consultant! I met with Anis, a sweet lady who reads my blog. Yesterday I met Saharil Hasrin Sanin, a freelance illustrator/blogger. Saharil runs Saharil Conteng. And today I met Ida Kassim aka RichyReens who runs A room of Crazy Scrapper. She bought eight of my cards! I just can’t believe it! I’m so happy that I finally got to meet Ida. And guess what? I signed an autograph for Muhammad Akashah, a student and a fan from Kedah! Lol, this one was really not what I expected! I signed an autograph!

Bonda Siti Zai brought along her sketchbook and showed me the latest sketches of her new projects. Her pen sketches are amazing thus inspired me to start practising one! Mind the wording, it was just there to fill the empty space, and a bad attempt to write a poem 😳

    Zaim @ YouTube

My husband, Zaim, has been in the graphic field since 1995. From a graphic designer, he evolved to be a 2D/3D Animator. Like me, he’s a self-taught. He fell in love with 3D graphic when 3D modeling is available on PC. Started with 3DStudio R4, Adobe Photoshop 3.2, DPS PVR, his visual graphics world bloomed since then.

Previously, he was a broadcast cameraman.

He has uploaded 20 videos. You can view his 3D video production portfolio here>>Zaim@YouTube

    Squirrel!

I’ve been trying to capture picture of this lil squirrel for quite sometimes but it was my husband, Zaim who succeeded. The papaya tree is situated right outside the window in front of Zaim’s working space. Having the camera by his side, he quickly snapped few shots.

    “This orange papaya looks yummy!”

“but I love this green one better…”

This squirrel might have traveled his way down to the housing area where we live from a nearby hill (Bukit Langat).

And oh, for some reasons, my mom calls him Jebon (James Bond)!
