    Surreal: Architecture

    Sometimes we create a surreal world that we want to live in; a world to make us feel happy where no one is judging.

    A break from drawing (since I am doing two illustration jobs on my laptop; digital colouring and vector outlining). Manipulated in Adobe PS. Been a long time since I play with photos. Photos are from my travels.

    Beijing in poetry

    Being alone in my room watching out the window, I came up with these short poems. Short poems that use 5-7-5 haiku syllable (not fit as Japanese haiku as there are no kigo in them). Some people call it modern haiku.

    Photos were captured with my Nikon D5100.

    A Tree, I would be

    tree

    If I have to be a tree,
    to be the vital part of your earth,
    I would.

    * Changed ‘life’ to ‘earth’. Relevant that way.

    I love Trees poem by Joyce Kilmer. Hear this:

    Trees
    Joyce Kilmer. 1886–1918

    I THINK that I shall never see
    A poem lovely as a tree.

    A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
    Against the sweet earth’s flowing breast;
    A tree that looks at God all day,
    And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
    A tree that may in summer wear
    A nest of robins in her hair;
    Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
    Who intimately lives with rain.

    Poems are made by fools like me,
    But only God can make a tree.
