    Postcards to be coloured

At first I went for a road trip. But when I got back, I was busy doing other things. Later, I was too busy with creating books. Later I was too busy with commission works. And then I was too busy with votes collecting. And now, I have to finish a book before I can go and color these. There are always reasons to not complete a task.

MUST COMPLETE a book today and COLOR these postcards tomorrow before getting to an exciting project! Will reveal soon.

    KL International Book Fair 2012

Went to KLIBF 2012 yesterday with my family. As we knew that the traffic would be massive, we took the LRT. When we reached the PWTC station, the crowd was huuuuge. People are queuing to buy LRT tokens. I just knew about the token yesterday as it has been awhile since I last board on an LRT. Love the token system but quite sorry that the token is only meant for one way. And seeing the the crowd and queue, we thought that it would not be impossible that we could only get our tokens in an hour or so.

Sooo…it was raining cats and dogs when we crossed the main road from The Mall to PWTC. It has been raining since we boarded the LRT. We went in through the back entrance just beside the Pan Pacific Hotel.

    PTS Book Arena.

At ITBM’s area; bought Kembara Sastera by Nisah Haron and Rindu Ibu by Pak Samad Said.

    My illustrations on Rindu Ibu.

I love the concept of these books; cartoon characters are brought into the books to explain about science. It’s a science-based series of comics translated from Korean language to Malay language.

Overall, the trip was worth it. I bought some books for myself and Yassin but my husband paid for it. 😀

Anyway, here’s a bit info about KLIBF 2012: It is an annual event organised by the Ministry of Education and has been around for 31 years already.  It is a place for book lovers to get the latest books and promotions from publishers around the region. As for publishers, there’s Trade & Copyright Centre where they can get the opportunity to meet other publishers and explore the possibility to exchange publishing and distribution rights.

The theme this year is “World Without Borders” and the book fair is now ongoing -from 27th April 2012 to 6th May 2012 and is held at Dewan Tun Hussein On, Dewan Tun Dr. Ismail, Dewan Tun Razak 3, 4 and Legar Putra Pusat Dagangan Dunia Putra (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur.

Opening time is from 10.00am t0 9.00pm daily. Admission is free.
