Lion Dance at Naza World

I went with my family to see the Lion Dance at Naza World last Saturday. The crowd was huge! The lion Dance was performed by 2010 & 2011 Champion in World Lion Dance Competition, Kun Seng Keng Dragon & Lion Dance Association. We were amazed at how the dancers balanced their movement on the poles.

I only stayed until the end of the dance and straight away went looking for lunch elsewhere as my son was screaming hungry and could not wait in line for the lunch served around 3pm.I got an angpow from Naza and I split it with Yassin. He blinked his eyes cheekily like the lion and smiled to the ears.

Golden lion ‘dancing’ on poles.

Cute lion, as Yassin puts it.

One for the album, Yassin and his favourite car.

Upon reaching home, Yassin challenged me to a lion drawing. Here’s what he drew:

And here’s what I drew:

Yassin quickly close his sketchbook and wonder, “how come your lion is better than mine?” I said, “practice, son, practice.”
