Blogging live from PWTC

Yay! Me blogging live from Trade and Copyright Centre (TCC), Level 5, KL International Book Fair 2011, PWTC, Kuala Lumpur.

As a member of SCBWI Malaysia, I volunteered myself to look after the booth for two days as we have original paintings mounted on the panels as well as to promote myself as local illustrator. I also have little things here for sale with permission by the President of SCBWI Malaysia, Linda Tan. 🙂

This year, KLIBF 2011 is focusing more on Trade and Copyright Centre (TCC) which has been initially introduced and highly supported in the KLIBF 2010.TCC is basically a platform for publishers and buyers, both local and international to do right transaction for their products. TCC is proud to host appointments in-between buyer and seller of copyrights, as well as providing 20 booths for publishers who would prefer to visually exhibit their books.

SCBWI Malaysia (of which I am a member) is taking a big area at the end of Level 5 and is having small exhibition of illustrations by local illustrators. Our main objectives are to promote local books by local illustrators. We have a big main  illustration panel (front and back) and 4 single panels. The main one features winning artworks by our 3 local famous illustrators; Yusof Gajah, Jainal Amambing and Awang Fadilah. Taking small side of the main panel, I get to feature my original watercolor paintings of my Lil’ Guardians. Wanna see? Come to TCC, Level 5, PWTC.

Main panel

All the panels are featuring the work of Nur Azmi Mokhtar and Donald ‘Dog’. You can see Azmi’s Tapir and Donald’s Dog on the panel. 😀
