    MyZazzle

Oh, I have been ignoring MyZazzle store for quite sometimes!! Well over ‘a year’ sometimes!

I just got e-mail notification, the ‘you recently sold..’ kind, for the fifth time these past few weeks and it triggers me to check my earnings. Not bad as I haven’t put up any new merchandise since last year.

MyZazzle ships internationally, so if you like anything in my store, you know what to do! But please take note that shipping will be done from the United States and expect two weeks for the order to reach you.

Look for a personalized gift at Zazzle.
I will try to integrate the widget into my Lilshop, if I can.

Or if I have the time.

Imagine – Your Kids Can Now Have Their Own Art Galleries

This week I am having a guest blogger, Lisa Bowens who works in the crib bedding industry and promotes Glenna Jean Crib Bedding. I got to know Lisa from www.BabyAuthority.com

I recently ran across a wonderful website called artsonia.com. It is all about children’s art and features close to 8,000,000 pieces of artwork. Because I teach 3rd grade art to disabled students I found one particular section of this website to be especially intriguing. And that’s because there’s actually a contest for art teachers where up to five $1,000 awards are going to be distributed for use in our classrooms.

The contest is being sponsored by VSA arts, which is a nonprofit international organization that was founded by Ambassador Jean Kennedy Smith thirty five years ago in order to create a society where people who have disabilities can participate in, learn through, and enjoy the arts.

Each piece of student artwork is going to be featured in a gallery online and will also be considered to be displayed in a national touring exhibition that will begin in June 2010 in Washington, D.C. This particular contest features the artwork of children from every state in the United States as well as the District of Columbia.

The fifty one selected artists (between the ages of five and fifteen) are invited to the opening reception. And the travel expenses for each artist and a chaperone will be reimbursed.

Whether or not your kids are entered in this contest, can you imagine how a child would feel if he or she had their own art gallery that preserved their masterpieces forever? Well, they can. Just go to the website and find out how easy it can be. Then watch as your children’s face lights up when they see their artwork being displayed on the World Wide Web.
