Have you ever heard a bowl singing? Or at least heard or read about it? Well, today while net-walking, I found a site featuring singing bowls! Truly awesome!

So I stayed on longer and read more about the singing bowls. Those singing bowls came from Tibet and Nepal and are supplied by Silver Sky Imports, currently the largest supplier of handmade items from the Himalayas. So how does a crystal singing bowl works? “Gong” or “strike” the bowl. This is a simple method that involves striking the bowl with a wood or padded striker. When you strike the bowl, it will produce solid tones and these tones can alter your body functions. This has been scientifically proven, you know. When the body is suffering from a physical ailment (e.g. a failing kidney), the natural resonant frequency of sound that is produced by the kidney is reduced, creating an imbalance. With singing bowls, sounding the tone of the bowls can restore an ailing organ by projecting the sound into the body which helps to return the organ to a healthy resonant frequency.
