    Testing 1,2,3…

    pincush

I just wanted to see how cute is the pin cushion in here 😀

Cupcake pincushion coming up for Nessa later tonight. The above is mine: typical, non-cupcake. Now I know how pincushion eases our lives!

    Stuffed orcas

Made these for my son. He really loves Willy (from Free Willy movie) and had been pestering me to buy a stuffed orca for him. It’s a common thing that almost all toy stores in Malaysia have dolphins but orcas? We did found a pack of sea-creatures where there’s a tiny orca in it. Yassin wanted a bigger one, so we continued searching but to no avail. I got fed-up after a week or searching, so decided to make one for my son. Here’s my first attempt:

    first orca

I actually made the tail and fins a bit 2D, a straight cut-out from side view angle. When my son complained about it, my husband amended it to look like a real 3D orca. Thanks dear! You can sew!

After a week, my son wanted another orca, a bigger one with ammendments to the flippers, dorsal fin, bottom part of the body (from black to white) and the eye patches (to make it a bit fierce). So I made this:

    2nd orca

Yassin is a happy lad who carries his orcas all around town.

    Buka Puasa

I have been invited yesterday by my ex-colleagues to join them for Buka Puasa at Quality Hotel sponsored by Dato’ Kamarul from Ken Events. It was great meeting up with them and updating myself on the latest happenings in the old company. I wish I could stay longer to chat with the ladies but my son pestered me to go home.
