    Meeting with SK

I had a meeting with Sharifah Khadijah (SK) earlier today at KL Central about a book project she’s working on. Also met with Datuk A. Samad Said (or better known as Bapak) and his son, Helmy, to discuss about their book as well.

SK came all the way down from Singapore to have this meeting and has appointed me to do her book’s design and typesetting. I am so honoured and excited to work with her!

    Sharifah Khadijah and Bapak

After the meeting, we went to Al-Ameen to pick up some books she ordered and later on dropped her off at her aunt’s place in Greenwood. On the way out, I saw the DUKE’s highway and since it’s leading to Ampang, I drove along. My! DUKE is so convenient; though the duration is longer than the normal road. As I drove along I noticed the digital signage showing time duration to the next exit: “3 minutes exit to Ampang”. I looked at my watch and let it be the judge. True enough, it was exactly 3 minutes! How cool!

    Keychains in the making *

Ann will kill me if she finds out that I am making keychains instead of making templates and illustrations for the magazine we’re working on!!

Bought these at the hardware store. I think the woods are for ceiling support; or maybe not. Whatever they are for, I am so happy I found them.

Yes, that’s my little assistant’s hand on the right!

I’ll be doing the sand-papering process after this and later on coating the pieces with acrylic primer.

    Jia’s tote *

This bag is commissioned by Jia (thank you Jia!).

I went to the post office to send Jia’s tote today (after lunch hour) but the queue was ridiculous; my number was 1373 and the number that they were serving was 1257. It was 2pm so I’d figured by the time the number reached 1300, the post office would already be preparing to wrap for the day. I went home and my little assistant who carried the box was quite frustrated because he didn’t get the chance to hand the box to the counter.

Note to Jia: I’ll be sending it first thing tomorrow morning!
