    Joker girl

Another card I did last week for my greeting card store @ GCU. I was browsing through all the categories in there and boy, I sure have to illustrate more as GCU has 3660 card categories right now! Just imagine in the ‘Collection’s category alone, there are more than 50 categories and some even have sub sub categories! There are categories like Animal, Maps/Geopgraphy, Mystical & Myths, World & Ethnic, etc. In the ‘World & Ethnic’ itself, there are 5 categories such as African American, Blended Family, Native American Indian and Western/Cowboy Art.  The latter seem interesting, I think I wanna try and draw a girl riding a horse and for that I am browsing the Net looking for materials and that includes equine and horse supplies! I need to be a bit precise, right? Lol!

Now, I really need to draw more cards for my store so that I cover most of the major categories!

    Spider! *

Here’s another photo I took last year.

My garden is so full of creepy crawlies! They are small and I have to look very closely because they tend to camouflage themselves with the nature.

This spider was climbing a tree branch and later hopped to a rustic pipe near the tree.

Do you know that I was bitten by a spider on my left hand (just below the palm) once while visiting my mom at the hospital? I felt numbs within minutes and hurried to the emergency room. Lucky I was in the area; a doctor gave me an injection.

Todate, there were about 40,000 species have been identified. Read more here.

    Caterpillars! *

Yikes! I am refraining myself from scratching the pox but this picture has got me scratching accidentally! Took this picture few weeks back. I was looking for insects through my lens and noticed this pair. Quickly took few shots of them. See those bulgy orange eyes? They were really creepy! I think these caterpillars will grow up to be beautiful butterflies! Hope they come flying in my garden one of these days!

    Fairy: Q #17

I haven’t draw anything today so I thought I draw a fairy. This is Quinella, an oak tree fairy. A quickie fairy I just did 20 minutes ago.

Anyway, do you know that Oak trees come in so many shapes and sizes that it is difficult to list physical traits relevant to all varieties? The one am illustrating above is Pin Oak; the best Oak trees to order and buy for shading your home and your patio. Pin Oak trees are also perfect habitat for nesting songbirds.

9 more fairies to go 😛
