    Seamoth *

    53 pages to go

As you can see, the characteristic of this Seamoth or Dragon Fish makes it a bit hard for me to draw. Took me 4 hours to complete. I didn’t get into actual tiny details but basically main features are there. I must say that this is one unique fish; amazing God’s creature.

This drawing is based on my husband’s photo, taken at the KL Aquaria few years back.

    Caladium *

Here’s drawing number 3; a Caladium leaf (or better known as daun Keladi). This one was drawn directly from nature.

    54 pages to go

Ok, I’m off to bed! Am working on a fish drawing (from my husband’s photo collection), will post it tomorrow. Happy New Year!

    A new year, a new challenge *

Happy New Year everybody! Here’s wishing you all many success in 2009 and hope it will be filled with wonders and delight!

As promised, this new year will see me illustrating my new Moleskine Watercolor Journal and after been thinking for awhile, I came up with a theme this time; Nature Study. I will basically draw direct from nature or from my own collection of photos.

Here’s the title page and page 1. I have 58 pages to draw (glued the first one to the title page, so 57 pages). Originally it has 72 pages; I tore down previous drawings coz it was not in the same theme.

My watercolor moleskine; 56 pages left to draw!

This was drawn from a photo that I took last year; collected, arranged and photographed them for drawing purpose.
