    Penang Shophouse

I have always been amazed with old buildings and their designs. I have many shots of similar buildings but with different exterior decorations. This painting was done back in 2000 based on a photograph that I took in Penang.

    I know, it’s typical.

    Penang Shophhouses | Watercolor on Watercolor Paper | 55cm x 75cm

All my life, I have only done two big scale paintings and above is one. The other one (oil painting) have been sold to my sister-in-law’s friend and I have to dig for the picture. Will post it the minute I found it. Painting big-scale needs a lot of patience. I didn’t have much back then, that’s why I only painted two. Lol.

    Marvic’s Jewellery

Maria (aka Marvic; short for Maria Victoria), an ex-colleague of mine, has always wanted to start her own jewellery business and lately, she has managed to find time, between work and study, to create her pieces. She has listed few pendants made out of semi precious stone, glass bead and normal beads. I like the last one and bought it as we speak. Did the transaction (secara hutang!) through my shoutbox.

If you’re interested in buying these pieces, please visit her blog: Notes by Marvic. You can also commission her to knit blouses, baby’s mittens, shoes and what not.

    Wall-E and Eve

My son, Yassin has been crying and begging me to put his drawing of Wall-E and Eve up. So here they are, two main characters from the animated movie, Wall-E. Watched the movie last week. Yassin loves Wall-E and Eve so much that his sketch pad is full of them.

    Wall-E + Eve by Yassin

This is a great movie to watch with your family. Wall-E (short for Waste Allocation Lift Loader, Earth-Class) is a garbage collecting robot that has been left to clean up trashes after humanity had deserted the planet for a cruise in the space. Wall-E has a cockroach pet and loves to watch a “Hello, Dolly!” tape over and over again. He collects miscellaneous junks and uses some as his body parts. WALL-E falls for Eve, a reconnaissance robot which has been sent to earth to find proof that life is once again sustainable.
