Selamat Hari Merdeka!
Selamat Hari Merdeka to all Malaysians! I can hear the sound of fireworks from where I am at now as we speak. Can also hear sounds of transportation roaming the main road adding to the joyful celebration of Malaysia’s 51 years of Independence. If you plan to go out for supper, drive safely and be sure to avoid Jalan Travers, Jalan Damansara, Bulatan Hishamudin, Jalan Hishamudin, Jalan Raja, Jalan Raja Laut and Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman. Make sure your road tax or auto insurance is still valid coz there will be Police/JPJ road blocks everywhere.

Memories – IF
Memoirs | Watercolor on moleskine
The challenge at Illustration Friday this week is to illustrate ‘memories’. Thought I draw little me. It was based from an old photo that my mother kept; I was 5. I can’t begin to count the number of times that I’ve sat back and remember all the memories of my childhood. We used to live in an army camp by the sea. It was a beautiful neighborhood with everything that any kid could ask for – neighbors that knew you by name, a store that sold your favourite junkfood and silly toys, a perfectly blue sky in the morning and a green beautiful forest so deep that you thought you’d be lost forever.

I am a Violet
Found a fun flower quiz, took it and tada, I’m Violet!
What Flower Are You?
“You have a shy personality. You tend to hesitate before trying new things or meeting new people. But once people get to know you, you open up and show the world what you are really all about.”Care to share what kind of flower are you? Let me know by leaving a comment. Will add you to my link list; you’re free to put this up in your blog if you want.

Poinsettia
I actually did a sketch of this poinsettia while waiting for my lunch at the Splendid Cafe @ Carrefour Ampang months back. They have these fake poinsettias on every table as centerpiece decoration. I was kinda bored and when I saw it, I just took out my moleskine and pen and started to draw. The coloring was done separately during spare time.
Splendor | Prismacolor + Pigment Ink
Do you know that $220 million worth of poinsettias are sold during the holiday season and 80% of poinsettias are purchased by women aged 40 or older*?

Hometown
Hello everybody! Sorry I haven’t been online and haven’t visited and replied comments yesterday. I went back to my hometown and by the time I got back, I felt a bit sickish. Slept early and woke up this morning having loads of house chores to do.
I went back to the hometown with my family yesterday to visit my grandparents and uncle’s graves. Will catch up on everybody today after doing my groceries! See ya soon!

More awards for me!
Yay! I’m so loving them all! Below are the special awards:
I love Your Blog from BoboMiow!
Kreativ Blogger from Mrs Imran
Creative Artist Award from Kim Barker (Laketrees)
According to Kim:
Creativity has been attributed variously to divine intervention, cognitive processes, the social environment, personality traits, and chance (“accident”, “serendipity”). It has been associated with genius, mental illness and humour. Some say it is a trait we are born with; others say it can be taught with the application of simple techniques.
Although popularly associated with art and literature, it is also an essential part of innovation and invention and is important in professions such as business, economics, architecture, industrial design, science and engineering.
