Enough – IF
Save the Water | Digital
The challenge is ‘Enough’ over at Illustration Friday. This illustration is based on my husband’s idea. Vector work. I masked texture effect to both the picket fences and grass.
Dixie and Pumpkin are having a shower spree and Emot didn’t like it and thought that they had wasted enough water.
We often take for granted the precious value of water. It is important to conserve water so there will always be enough to supply affordable water to people, animals, and the environment. Water conservation comes naturally when everyone in the family is aware of its importance, and parents take the time to teach children some of the simple water-saving methods around the home which can make a big difference.
You can then also save water and so reduce your water bills, have a look at https://lowenergysupermarket.com/top-10-water-saving-products/ for some great water saving devices.
Few tips on how to save water:
- Turn off the tap when you brush your teeth – a running tap uses more water tha necessary.
- Take a shower instead of a bath – a conventional shower (as opposed to a power shower) uses around two-thirds less water than a bath.
- Don’t run taps to rinse washing up – again this uses more water than you need for the task.
- Only use the washing machine or dishwasher with a full load – even half-load programmes use more than half the water of a full load.
- Never leave a tap dripping – if it needs a new washer, fix it.
- Use plants that can withstand drought – Mediterranean species like lavenders, rosemary and cistus can survive with little water.
- Wash the car with a sponge and bucket – a hosepipe uses far too much water.
- Report burst pipes immediately to the local water company – then make sure the burst is fixed as soon as possible.
