Self-inflicted haircut!

I dread for this moment.

Thank God it was a scissor not a cutter! But still it was a dreadful moment and my heart stopped beating for awhile. I panicked and check whether he has inflicted other than his hair. Lucky there wasn’t any. It was all my fault, I left a scissor on my working table. Normally, I put it up high on a wall shelf. I quickly took him to a barber shop near our house. I called my husband and told him what happened. He told me to get our son a No. 4 cut. But the barber told me it has to be No. 1.

No. 1 it was. Of course I got a scolding. I already hid all the scissors and cutters.

    tcuk..tcuk..tcuk…

children like experimenting. i remember my sister trimmed her eyelashes with scissors when she was 4. when my mom hid the scissors, she then played with matches and burnt her eyelashes and some of her hair too. i also remember she accidently cut her fingers few times with knife until we could see the bone. my mom was so panicked and angry but she juz keep quiet with an innocent look on her face as if nothing happened.

    Thank God, yassin is ok.

Exactly, Manggis! I asked him again last night why he cut his hair, he told me that couldn’t find a paper, so he cut his hair!

I guess all parents have to go through this at least once. My daughter cut once her own hair and as we didn’t want to cut her hair short, we used hair clips to hide it as best as we could. Fortunately, the hair grew longer soon and with regular trimmings, they are OK now.
