Soar – Illustration Friday
“I am leaving for good, you should too. Soar high and find your way home…”This is how I remember it 30 years ago — saying goodbye to my dear friends. It happened on the day we left Melaka for Pahang. The day that I remember so well. The day that my mother told us that my father had left us. The day that I let my father’s birds go. I never knew if my father got pissed for what I did. I never asked.
He loved the birds but I loved them even more.
P/S: Sorry for the unkempt sketch. I’m in a hurry to pack my PC. Am moving to Ampang tomorrow. Hope I’ll get the connection up soon. Till then, Happy 2008 to all!

Yassin’s 4th birthday
Yassin turns 4 today! We celebrated just the 3 of us. Bought Yassin’s favourite cake, Chocolate Mud Cake from Secret Recipe. Bought the dinosaurs sugar icing as the cake decoration. Yassin loves it very much.

Yassin meets his idol!
Yassin and ShafimieYassin was so thrilled to finally meet his idol, the main cast of Hikayat Putera Syazlan (Astro Ceria), Shafimie Saedon. My husband was working at our friend’s production house yesterday and told us that Shafimie was doing some shooting there and asked us to come. Yassin was all excited and we dropped by awhile before heading to Ampang to pickup my cousin and niece. We are lucky to caught him in time. He had just finished shooting and was about to leave when we arrived. We took some pictures of Yassin with Shafimie! Yassin kept bragging about his meeting with Putera Syazlan all the way to Ampang!

Gifts from friends
I went back to my mom’s house for Eidul Adha last Wednesday and was surprised to see a big package and a letter lying on the study table with my name on them. Mom said the package had arrived earlier in the afternoon whilst the letter few days back. They are from Adrian aka Genie King (GK) and Jean Chia respectively. GK had sent a big book “You Can Draw” for Yassin while Jean had sent me a wooden bookmark from her recent trip to Thailand! We are so thrilled and love our pressies very much! Thank you GK and Jean!
